Job summary

RWE Americas seeks a Senior Manager, Utility Scale Development to initiate, develop, and acquire renewable energy projects in the US and Canada. You will lead cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle, from greenfield to construction readiness, including permitting, interconnection, and tax equity financing.

The role requires travel up to 50% and a strong track record in delivering large-scale energy assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business/economics, environmental science, or relevant fields.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in renewable energy infrastructure development.
• Exceptional project management skills and ability to lead large cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and deadline-driven execution.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work in an office-based role.

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects from greenfield to construction start.
• Serve as project lead, managing large cross-functional project teams.
• Manage the full project lifecycle including due diligence, land control, permitting, interconnection, engineering, and finance.
• Oversee cost estimating and EPC bidding to firm up CAPEX with Precon and Procurement.
• Support construction phase to ensure successful COD and mentor junior staff.
