Job summary

Walmart Sam's Club in Bentonville, AR is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy - Shows and Events to lead strategic initiatives for major corporate events. You will guide complex programs from concept to implementation, building teams and aligning stakeholders across business units.

The role emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and delivering measurable event outcomes for the brand and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, communications or related field.
• 4 years' experience in project management, hospitality, communications, event management or related field OR 6 years' experience in project management, hospitality, communications, event management or related field.
• Proven leadership experience in developing and executing strategic plans for large-scale shows and events.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for Shows and Events, aligning with corporate goals and cross-functional priorities.
• Lead project management efforts from concept through execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-level initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define event objectives and identify key opportunities.
• Drive change management by assessing readiness, managing expectations, and embedding sustainable processes.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team, setting clear performance expectations and fostering professional growth.
• Monitor and evaluate event effectiveness, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and impact.
• Communicate progress and results to senior leadership, influencing strategic direction and decision-making.
