Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Lead Research Administrator to manage complex research portfolios across multiple laboratories in Boston. You will lead pre‑award and post‑award activities, coordinate procurement and HR processes, and ensure compliance with NIH and foundation guidelines while collaborating with central offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 6+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience with sponsored research administration and budgeting/financial oversight.
Familiarity with NIH, foundations and industry funding guidelines.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage pre-award grant activities and sponsor communications.
Oversee post-award portfolio management including financial reports and milestones.
Coordinate procurement, HR onboarding, and invoicing for projects.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and institute policies.
Lead special projects and collaborate with central offices and departments.
