Job summary

George Mason University seeks a seasoned Associate Director, Healthcare Finance & Operations for Student Health Services in Fairfax, VA. This role leads financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements to sustain high-value care for students.

As a senior advisor to the Executive Director, you will supervise finance and insurance staff, partner with clinical leadership, and ensure adherence to university policies while driving efficiency and accountable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years in financial management, budgeting, or operations.
• Experience supervising staff and managing performance.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to communicate financial information to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise staff including Fiscal Specialist and Office Manager.
• Oversee budget execution, monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Lead annual and multi-year budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with UL divisional partners and clinical leadership on planning.
