Coherent Corp. seeks a Lead Buyer / Planner to own the supplier side of ramp, manage strategic supplier agreements, capacity commitments, and second-source qualification for critical materials.

You will work with product line management and engineering to maintain a single BOM per product, ensuring what is bought matches what is built, and govern cost and continuity of supply for the lifecycle of the line.

Competenze

• Minimum 7 yrs. of direct or closely related experience.
• BS/MS or equivalent degree in related field.
• Experience with supplier agreements and ramp planning.
• Strong cost reduction and negotiation skills

Mansioni

• Manage purchasing processes for equipment, supplies and services for assigned suppliers, categories and site.
• Participate in developing and monitoring annual operating budget.
• Coordinate RFQs, RFPs, bids; ensure legal and contractual compliance; analyze costs; negotiate provisions; prepare specs.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and report to management.
• Maintain MRP integrity and monitor purchasing transactions and inventory flows.
• Create CVMI/VMI agreements and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Determine appropriate contracts for procurement needs; review requisitions, POs, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Interface with internal customers and suppliers; participate in cross-functional teams to meet goals.
