Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Manager, Ammo Process Operations for on-site work at Hawthorne Army Depot, NV. The role oversees maintenance, renovation, demilitarization, and related projects, directing supervisors and munitions staff to ensure safety and contract compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 6+ years in munitions operations, and ability to obtain security clearances including a Nevada driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years of ammunition operations or related munitions experience.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Must have Nevada driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage ammunition process operations, including maintenance, renovation, modification, conversion, demilitarization, LAP, and special projects.
• Direct supervisors, munitions handlers, UXO personnel and staff to ensure safe disposition and compliant operation.
• Maintain production records, reports, and demilitarization status for accurate reporting.
• Coordinate training, qualification, and procedural compliance for explosives-related operations.
• Manage budgets, resources, maintenance coordination, and process performance for ammunition operations.
• Report safety and environmental concerns and uphold Company ethics and standards.
