Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Supervisor, UXO to lead ordnance clearance and demilitarization activities at Hawthorne Army Depot. You will supervise UXO personnel, oversee disposal, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements on-site in Hawthorne, NV.

Qualifications include a high school diploma plus Certified EOD/UXO per DDESB TP-18 and a valid state license. The role demands strong leadership, technical documentation, and the ability to coordinate with management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified EOD/UXO qualification or equivalent per DDESB TP-18 required.
• State Blaster license and UXO database registration required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise UXO reconnaissance, location, recovery, classification, identification, and disposal activities.
• Direct visual and electronic location of surface and subsurface UXO and oversee excavation and recovery.
• Oversee safe disposal methods for propellants, ammunition and related components.
• Prepare SOPs, status reports, and project documentation for UXO operations.
• Train personnel in range safety, demolition techniques, and hazardous materials handling.
• Provide UXO safety observer and escort services in areas with suspected hazards.
