Job summary

NV Energy in Las Vegas is seeking a Land Resources Project Manager to oversee permitting, rights of way acquisition, and contract oversight for transmission, distribution, and generation projects across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.

You will coordinate land rights research, manage consultants, ensure schedules and budgets, and lead risk and compliance activities for utility-scale projects in Nevada.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field with 5 years of project management or property rights experience.
  • Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have 9 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates acquisition of federal, state, and local permits for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable projects.
  • Oversees acquisition of land rights (easements, licenses) for construction, operation and maintenance.
  • Reviews consultant/contractor work to protect Company interests and ensure fair market valuations.
  • Assists in developing land resources plan to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manages risk and coordinates close-out documentation for land projects.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, codes, and regulations applicable to land rights.
