Job summary

M/I Homes, Inc. is seeking a senior land acquisition leader in Indianapolis, IN to drive subdivision land purchases and long-term strategy. You will work with cross-functional leaders to ensure acquisitions align with financial objectives and market opportunities.

You will supervise land acquisition managers, structure complex deals, and guide due diligence through closing. A strong background in negotiation, market analysis, and stakeholder collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a four-year college or technical school with 5–10 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop land acquisition managers and drive the land acquisition process for subdivision development.
• Assist in negotiations with sellers, brokers, developers, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Structure purchase agreements, options, takedowns, phased acquisitions, joint ventures, and other structures.
• Partner with Land Development, Finance, Sales, Construction, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Leadership.
• Analyze markets for acquisitions within profitability and feasibility criteria.
