Job summary

Gategroup is seeking a results-driven Labor Resource Planning professional in California to lead labor forecasting, budgeting, and staffing strategies. You will partner with Operations, Finance, HR and Engineering to optimize workforce alignment with demand and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience in operational planning, monitoring KPIs or financial controlling.
• Experience leading strategic or operational workforce planning activities, including demand and gap analysis.
• Ability to identify themes and provide data-driven recommendations from quantitative and qualitative assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in personnel scheduling and rostering.

Responsibilities

• Labor Resource Planning: Develop and execute labor resource planning strategies aligned with goals.
• Workforce Optimization: Analyze data to optimize labor allocation vs. demand fluctuations.
• Budget Management: Collaborate with Finance to develop budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Forecasting and Demand Planning: Use data-driven forecasting to anticipate labor needs.
• Labor Analytics: Build reporting to track KPIs on utilization, productivity and cost.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align labor plans with Operations, HR, Finance, and Industrial Engineers.
• Staffing Strategies: Recommend short- and long-term staffing plans including hiring and reassignment.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve labor planning processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
