Job summary

NYU Langone Nevada is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to enhance centralized training and on-the-job support for the FGP Central Billing Office and Patient Access Center. You will design, develop, and facilitate training and curate reference materials for new hires, refreshers, performance improvement, and staff development.

Reporting to the L&D Supervisor, you’ll collaborate to identify training needs, develop interventions, create eLearning content, deliver sessions, and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of learning and development experience.
• 2 years of facilitation experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with quick issue analysis.
• Ability to present information in classroom or remote settings.
• Proficient PC user with basic Excel, PowerPoint, and Word knowledge.
• Healthcare background in Customer Service, Professional Billing, or Contact Center setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with L&D leadership to identify and assess training needs for staff.
• Assist in designing and developing training interventions and materials.
• Participate in training design and development sessions.
• Ensure training aligns with organizational goals and values.
• Work with management to validate objectives and develop content.
• Modify instructional materials based on feedback.
• Develop additional training and reference materials (course outlines, presentations, eLearning, assessments).
• Deliver classroom training to a designated audience.
• Set up training room and coordinate equipment; provide feedback to new hires.
• Identify low performers and communicate with management.
• Maintain training and reference content in a centralized repository.
• Perform training administrative functions (schedules, LMS records, reports).
• Coordinate with staff for improvement initiatives and QA activities.
