Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC is seeking a Knowledge Management & Library Services Manager to lead firm-wide knowledge strategies across practice groups in Philadelphia. The role oversees library services, governance of metadata and repositories, and collaboration with attorneys and departments to improve access and efficiency.

The position requires MLS/MLIS with supervisory experience and a minimum of four years in research libraries, including law firm exposure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree holders with strong research and analytical abilities.
MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited library school preferred.
Minimum four years of experience as a research librarian with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a firm-wide knowledge management strategy across practice groups.
Establish and maintain repositories with governance standards for metadata, taxonomy, and content organization.
Partner with attorneys and stakeholders to improve knowledge sharing and information access.
Support AI, search, and document automation initiatives through curated knowledge collections.
Oversee law library operations, budgets, and vendor contracts to ensure service excellence.
