Job summary
Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC seeks a Knowledge Management & Library Services Manager to lead KM and library operations in Pittsburgh/Philadelphia. You will drive strategy, governance, and access to legal information across practice groups and offices.
Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing budgets, and coordinating with attorneys to enhance knowledge sharing and research delivery, including AI-enabled tools and platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years as a research librarian and 2 years supervisory experience.
- MLS or MLIS from an ALA‑accredited library school preferred.
- Law firm experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a firm-wide knowledge management strategy for knowledge capture, governance, and sharing.
- Establish and maintain repositories with governance standards for metadata, taxonomy, and retention.
- Partner with attorneys and departments to improve knowledge sharing and access to information.
- Oversee law library administration including budgets, subscriptions, and resources.
- Provide advanced legal, legislative, regulatory, and business research support.
