Job summary

BBJ La Tavola in Chicago is seeking a seasoned Key Account Executive to develop and nurture long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients. You will connect with executives and stakeholders, optimize wallet share, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver tailored linen and event solutions.

This role requires 3–5 years of sales and account management experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a willingness to travel 6–8 weeks to meet key clients.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of sales experience.
• Proven track record at account management and achieving sales metrics year over year.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
• Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment.
• Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity.
• Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Meet and/or exceed performance goals set by leadership.
• Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers.
• Develop design mood boards for clients upon request.
• Help customers through email, phone, and in person meetings.
• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
• Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to upper management.
• Forecast and track key account metrics.
• Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.
• Monitor and analyze customer's usage of our product.
• Responsible for developing existing client relationships while being able to generate referrals from current client base.
• Travel to key clients within assigned territory to execute face to face meetings.
