Job summary

VDOT is seeking a Customer Relationship Manager to drive strategic partnerships across IT delivery, governance, and business outcomes. The role focuses on executive-level communication, cross-team alignment, and roadmapping multi-year capabilities with partners across districts and central IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or six (6) years or more of related experience in Information Technology.
• Experience in IT with knowledge of SDLC, Agile Methodology, and technology procurements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership at all levels.
• Ability to build credibility as a strategic partner and manage escalations.
• Experience with product planning, development and management.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Agency leadership up to Executive level regularly.
• Work with IT leadership to ensure delivery of products and services by ITD.
• Partner with Districts as a point of focus for IT management and escalation.
• Develop and maintain a multi-year business capability roadmap with Enterprise Architecture.
• Build and maintain relationships with business partners; coordinate work and prioritise requests.
• Identify opportunities for new services, improvements and technical innovations.
• Oversee expectations and manage escalations related to ITD engagement and delivery.
• Manage technology procurements escalations and communicate customer needs.
• Collaborate with ITD teams on operations and strategic direction for systems owned by partners.
