Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of strategic IT programs. You will lead programs from planning through sustainment, reporting benefits to executives and governance boards.

In this role, you will define program plans, manage risks, and drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, security, and enterprise applications teams. This position emphasizes leadership and clear communication across senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT program or project management experience.
• Professional experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager in an IT organization.
• Technical background to credibly evaluate risks and issues.
• Experience with Enterprise Applications projects/programs.
• Experience managing external implementation providers.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven stakeholder management and senior leadership communication experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading program definition, planning, scope, and execution; monitor health and mitigate issues.
• Defining integrated program plans with detailed WBS and deliverables.
• Identify dependencies between programs; size and lead transformations/growth opportunities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment; report status to executives and governance bodies.
• Work independently in ambiguous contexts to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Adopt best-practice guidelines to improve PMO processes.
