Job summary

Clarity Partners in Chicago is seeking a Project Portfolio Analyst to establish, implement, and enhance IT project and portfolio management best practices across the organization. The role will oversee lifecycle standards, performance metrics, resource planning, and reporting to ensure initiatives meet scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management, analytical, and communication skills and collaborate across technical and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Business or related field.
• 7 years of IT project management experience preferred.
• PMP or PMI certification preferred.
• Experience with PM best practices, governance processes.
• Strong knowledge of portfolio management, resource planning, and financial tracking.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or similar tools.
• Healthcare IT or hospital information systems experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and improve IT project and portfolio management practices.
• Define scope, goals, and success criteria with leadership.
• Direct projects through full lifecycle from planning to post-eval.
• Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource estimates.
• Track milestones, budgets, resources, risks, and portfolio performance.
• Establish KPIs and resource allocation methods.
• Deliver status reports and executive updates.
• Mitigate scope, risk, and change with contingency plans.
• Communicate expectations and timelines clearly.
• Coach and supervise project team members.
• Build relationships with stakeholders for successful delivery.
