Job summary

Texas Southmost College is seeking a Technical Director to lead the planning, organization, and execution of the college's IT infrastructure, including data center, networks, storage, cloud, security, and related services, reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology.

The role directs IT operations, manages staff and budgets, partners with the CISO and EDA to meet regulatory requirements, and ensures secure, reliable, and scalable technology across campus.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of IT professionals responsible for deploying, maintaining, and supporting the College's IT infrastructure and operations.
• Provides leadership to IT infrastructure engineering and operations teams, fostering a service-oriented culture.
• Develops and maintains IT infrastructure and operations strategy aligned with college objectives.
• Oversees vendor relations to ensure delivery of contractual objectives and supports budget processes.
• Leads enterprise IT compliance and cybersecurity initiatives as directed by the CISO.
• Implements change management and project management best practices across IT projects.
