Job summary

Arch Capital Group Ltd. in Connecticut is seeking a detail-oriented IT Finance professional to track IT expenses, assist with budgeting, and liaise between IT and Finance to ensure accurate reporting. The role supports the IT Steering Committee with analysis and ad hoc reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of IT spend forecasting experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel and BI tool skills. This position is desk-based with potential for project-based collaboration.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Finance, Accounting or any relevant Data Analytics degree.
• 5–7 years of experience analyzing and forecasting IT spend.
• Experience in Insurance or Technology industry is helpful but not required.
• Experience with Agile IT Frameworks preferred.
• Experience with global outsourcing functions – external or internal/owned preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track IT expenses, including segment allocations and internal management charges.
• Budget with IT leadership and forecast upcoming projects.
• Liaise between IT and Finance for open communication.
• Prepare and maintain IT expense tracker and management reports.
• Assist in cost-benefit analyses of large expenditures.
• Assist with IT accruals and journal entries for IT cost centers.
• Review and code invoices for IT expenses.
• Support IT metrics updates to IT allocations and fixed asset records.
• Assist quarterly variance analyses (actuals vs prior year and budget).
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for stakeholders.
