Job summary

City of Fort Worth is seeking a Sr. Contract Compliance Specialist in the IT Finance (Contracts) team. The role supports development, review, and execution of technology contracts for city departments, with on-site and hybrid options.

The position requires a public administration, business or finance degree and 3 years in contract/grant management, plus CJIS eligibility. It offers a comprehensive benefits package and a workweek Mon–Fri with some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, finance or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience preparing and monitoring contracts, grants, or community programs in the public or private sector.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Candidate must pass CJIS background check.

Responsibilities

• Identify, propose, and develop legal agreements that support technology programs.
• Collaborate with Law Department to develop and standardize agreements; assist policy development.
• Liaise with senior managers to structure agreements meeting IT needs while following Purchasing guidelines.
• Monitor vendor performance metrics and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Author Mayor and Council Communications seeking authorization for tech contracts.
• Conduct compliance reviews and risk assessments for laws, procurement rules, and policies.
• Lead process improvements for contract compliance workflows and advise contract managers.
• Oversee contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiating, evaluating, and maintaining documents.
