Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Transportation & Public Works Capital Delivery Project Team has a Contract Compliance Specialist role available. You will evaluate, route, and monitor funding and expiration of contracts according to internal standards and business practices.

The position supports efficient contract administration and compliance across multiple projects. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Valid Texas driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Routes, monitors, and conducts oversight of contracts (e.g. bid advertisement, contract execution, contract renewals, change orders, etc.).
• Developing and maintaining process tracking tools and reports.
• Liaison between project managers, contractors and city staff regarding contract processes and procedures.
• Ensuring contracts adhere to approved departmental and legal standards.
• Report any discrepancies; make recommendations for corrective actions.
• Participate in the development of new processes and procedures and make recommendations for changes/improvements to existing standards and procedures.
• Processes and submits requests for PeopleSoft actions (e.g. New PSK# requests, amendments, renewals, P.O.s, etc.).
• Prepares new Professional Service Agreements, Engineering Agreements, and Contract Amendments for Transportation and Public Works requirements.
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

Pay Range: $26.38 - $34.30/hr.

Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

A Contract Compliance Specialist job is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation & Public Works Capital Delivery Project Team. The candidate must be able to attentively evaluate, effectively route, and successfully monitor the funding and expiration of contracts according to accepted business practices and internal standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field
• Valid Texas driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of contract, clerical and administration experience
• Understanding of the federal, state or local rules, regulations and guidelines relating to the assigned contract or grant fund program area
• Experience in the methods and techniques of conducting research
• Understand the basic principles of contractual agreement law
• Experience with Excel, Adobe Suite, Bonfire, eBuilder, SAM.gov/Contract Opportunities or other procurement/contract management software
• One (1) year of experience in a public works procurement/acquisition environment including conducting/assisting with contract solicitations

The Contract Compliance Specialist job responsibilities include:

Working Conditions

Physical Demand

• Light Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
