Job summary

Sunrock Industries in North Carolina is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to order materials, supplies, equipment purchases and rentals, and to follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery schedules. This role supports the Purchasing Manager and maintains inventory levels, performing warehouse tasks including loading/unloading, and assists in bids, reports, and KPI preparation.

Occasional overtime and up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or related training preferred.
• Experience in warehousing, inventory control or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed; report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and support housekeeping requirements.
• Verify shipment contents against records and manage inventory stock.
• Requisition and store shipping materials to maintain stock levels.
• Record shipment data for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred between Sunrock locations.
• Prepare KPI reports and assist Purchasing Manager as directed.
• Safely operate forklift and non-CDL flatbed truck for deliveries in the Raleigh‑Durham area.
