Job summary

Rockler in Medina, MN is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee the Purchasing Team's ongoing operations, using planning and supply chain optimization to maintain in-stock levels, inventory turns, GMROI, backorders, and on-hand inventory targets.

You will lead the team, drive efficiency from forecasting to customer receipt, collaborate with other departments, and present periodic reports to leadership on opportunities and concerns.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in demand planning, buying, and inventory management.
• 3-5+ years of experience in managing teams with a minimum of 3 years in managing demand planning/buying teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic Macro/VBA skills a plus.
• Experience with AX/Dynamics, Tableau or R is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing team to achieve key inventory metrics and on-hand targets.
• Lead inventory management efforts for Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) SKUs.
• Develop a high-performing team focused on company objectives.
• Execute planned purchase orders with a subset of Company Vendors.
• Oversee development, execution, and maintenance of Purchasing SOPs and Buyer Training.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to inventory quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize inventory management.
• Prepare, submit, and present periodic reports on purchasing opportunities or concerns.
