Job summary

Colsafety is seeking an Inventory Planner to manage item inventory with urgency to meet customer expectations while keeping lean stock of slower-moving items. You will work with vendors and internal teams to optimize inventory and margins.

The role requires monitoring purchasing requirements, setting replenishment parameters, creating advance buys, and communicating status to leadership. Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• Monitor purchasing requirements and manage inventory levels
• Analyze inventory needs and urgency to determine the best way to fulfill requirements
• Create advance buys and scheduled deliveries based on demand history and growth expectations
• Communicate with purchasing team and leadership on any new developments in sales and vendors
• Create and send purchase orders to vendors
• Communicate and resolve issues in shipping, pricing or quantity
• Liaison between internal and external customers to resolve issues
• Evaluate, clarify, and act on customer forecast information

Responsibilities

• Communicate and resolve issues in shipping, pricing or quantity
• Compile and send POS and consignment reports; Liaison between internal and external customers to resolve issues
• Evaluate, clarify, and act on customer forecast information
