Columbia Safety and Supply is seeking an Inventory Planner / Buyer in Columbia, Missouri, to manage inventory with urgency and focus to meet customer expectations while keeping lean stock of slower-turning items. You will support stakeholders through daily tasks and projects, contributing to personal and departmental goals and employee development.

Ideal candidates have aBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field, 3+ years in Buyer/Planning roles, ERP forecasting experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in Buyer or Planning roles.
• Experience with ERP forecasting and demand planning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchasing requirements and manage inventory levels.
• Analyze inventory needs and urgency to fulfill requirements.
• Set replenishment parameters and influence stock levels.
• Create advance buys and scheduled deliveries based on demand history.
• Communicate with purchasing team and leadership on sales and vendor developments.
• Create and send purchase orders.
