Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to drive allocation and replenishment strategies for mid-level businesses.

You will help ensure optimal store inventory levels aligned with the merchandise plan and regional initiatives. You will analyze inventory by store, season, and regional needs, partner with Buyers and AR Managers, and implement opportunities to improve order fill and stock availability across omni-channel operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience, including 2+ years in merchandise allocations and/or planning.
• Advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• JDA Allocations and/or E3 experience required.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Training experience required.
• Strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders using the Allocations system and place replenishment POs.
• Maintain proper inventory levels by store location to support sales, margin and turns.
• Partner with AR Manager and Buyers on allocation and replenishment strategies.
• Review in-stock reporting and take actions to correct issues.
• Leverage knowledge of customer needs to optimize system settings and processes for omni-channel operations.
• Lead meetings with Buyers and Merchandisers on item flow and replenishment forecasts.
• Assist in cluster creation and manage eligibility in ITEL for areas of responsibility.
• Train and mentor interns and merchandise trainees.
• Collaborate with Merchants to create merchandise financial and assortment plans for new stores.
