Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to support allocation and replenishment strategies across mid-level businesses.

You will help ensure the right assortments and inventory levels for new stores and existing locations, aligning with the merchandise plan and regional initiatives. You will work with AR Managers, Merchandise Planners and Buyers to optimize inventory, monitor in-stock levels, and collaborate on item flow based on forecasts and advertising schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 3–5 years of experience, including 2+ years in merchandise allocations/planning.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Experience with JDA Allocations and/or E3 is required.
• Strong mathematical abilities and analytical mindset.
• Experience in training or mentoring may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders using the Allocations system.
• Place replenishment purchase orders to maintain optimal stock.
• Maintain inventory levels by store location to meet sales/margin/turn goals.
• Collaborate with AR Manager and Buyers on allocation and replenishment strategies.
• Review in-stock reporting for key items and address issues promptly.
