Job summary

DLA Careers seeks an Inventory Management Specialist to support DoD maintenance programs. The role focuses on ensuring parts availability, coordinating material support, and maintaining stock levels across DLA and non-DLA items.

The incumbent works closely with maintenance customers and internal teams to optimize supply chain performance. Candidates should have specialized federal or equivalent experience, knowledge of procurement policies for emergencies, and strong planning skills to support

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience at GS-07 level or equivalent in federal/private sector.
Experience with retail supply and inventory management functions, material coordination and AW/PICAP procedures.
Experience with demand and supply planning for depot maintenance and repair activities.
Experience with procurement regulations, procedures, and policies for emergency situations and related processes.

Responsibilities

Ensures parts supportability across all sources of supply for established and future workloads.
Provides material support for projects and services as the material support point of contact for maintenance customers.
Reviews and analyzes supportability planning documents and drafts availability strategies.
Addresses material supportability problems that could impact production schedules using established resources.
Establishes and maintains stock levels (DLA and Non-DLA items).
Provides long-, mid-, and short-term material support planning for industrial maintenance customers.
