Job summary

TJFACT is seeking a well-qualified International Negotiations Program Advisor to support the Department of State – INL/FO/IN office in Washington, DC. This position, equivalent to Program Advisor / Specialist Level 3, involves coordinating U.S.

participation in international negotiations, preparing briefing materials, and engaging with interagency partners and international fora. The unit handles planning for meetings with groups such as the UN, G-7, OAS, and EU dialogues, with a focus on drug

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen required.
• Active security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Four to six years’ experience in a relevant field or similar role.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate U.S. participation in international negotiations and interagency delegations at the international and regional level.
• Prepare substantive briefing materials and necessary documentation for meetings and negotiations.
• Draft and review technical, programmatic, and funding documents; assist in congressional testimony and speeches.
• Coordinate inputs for position papers and background materials for INL Front Office meetings and discussions.
• Provide liaison support with U.S. Mission to IOs and other international partners.
