Airbnb is seeking an experienced internal communications leader who is an outstanding writer and strategist, capable of translating complex technical topics into clear, engaging messages for diverse employee audiences.

You will partner with VP-level leaders, shape editorial standards, and drive initiatives across AI and data science, while ensuring the company’s mission and values are reflected across all communications.

Qualifications

10+ years in strategic internal communications, editorial, or journalism with a relevant degree.
Exceptional writer and editor, able to make dense material clear under deadline.
Fluency with AI and technical subject matter, with curiosity about product development.

Responsibilities

Act as a strategic partner to client leaders during Pacific Time core hours.
Develop quality executive materials: Slack posts, emails, leadership narratives, and all-hands content.
Translate technical work into compelling messages for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Shape functional narratives to align with broader company priorities.
Own design and production of high-impact moments for client orgs (all-hands, forums, offsites).
Serve as a trusted editor for the team, improving channel standards and scalability.
Lead or support change management, crisis communications, and special projects.
