Airbnb seeks an experienced internal communications leader to craft clear, compelling messages about complex technical topics. You will partner with VP-level leaders, guide executive materials, and drive messaging that connects Tech with company-wide priorities.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in newsroom or corporate comms, exceptional writing, and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders. The role is US remote eligible and offers bonus and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic internal communications, editorial, or journalism with a related degree.
• Exceptional writer and editor able to produce concise, clear material under deadline.
• Fluency with AI and technical subject matter, with interest in product development.
• Proven counselor to senior leaders with strong editorial judgment and news sense.
• End-to-end communications practitioner: planning, writing, editing, distribution, measurement.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; proficient in slides to convey complex topics.
• Self-directed, collaborative, with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Aligned with Airbnb's mission and community values.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to client leaders, providing counsel and coaching during Pacific Time core hours.
• Develop high-quality executive materials: leader posts, thought leadership, and all-hands narratives.
• Translate deeply technical work into compelling messages for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Shape narratives to connect Tech's story with broader company priorities.
• Own design and production of high-impact moments for client orgs, including presentations and coaching.
• Serve as a trusted editor to strengthen channel standards and scale quality across the team.
• Lead or support change management, crisis communications, and special projects.
