Job summary

Amazon Intermodal (AZIM) seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager to optimize the intermodal network, drive cost efficiency, and guide strategic decisions across drayage, rail partnerships, and equipment utilization.

The role partners with Product, Tech, and Finance to translate insights into product requirements and successful operations, while owning end-to-end program strategy and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of supply chain experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Network Cost & Supply Optimization: Develop and drive supply mix strategies that optimize cost, service, and capacity across Amazon's intermodal network.
• Performance Management & Partner Accountability: Monitor KPIs including transit time, on-time delivery, dwell, equipment ratios, and cost-per-unit metrics.
• Data-Driven Strategy & Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses on network performance data and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
• Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence: Partner with Product, Tech, and Finance to translate operational insights into product requirements and success metrics.
• Executive Communication & Reporting: Develop and present weekly/monthly performance reviews and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• A day in the life: Analyze network cost and performance dashboards, lead performance reviews with transport partners, and collaborate on roadmap priorities.
