LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a national retail and service organization to identify an experienced Interim Controller / Finance Leader. This role combines strategic finance leadership with hands-on execution across FP&A, budgeting, and financial modeling to accelerate growth and improve profitability.

The ideal candidate will lead month-end close, prepare executive-level reports, and partner with senior leadership to optimize working capital, capital planning, and operational

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Ability to partner with executive leadership and influence decisions.
• Experience in private equity-backed environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close with accounting team.
• Deliver executive-level financial reporting, dashboards, and presentations.
• Analyze performance via variance analysis, KPI tracking, and trend reporting.
• Monitor liquidity, cash flow, profitability, and operating metrics.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modeling.
• Develop business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives.
• Mentor finance and accounting staff and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages.
