Rocketdyne is seeking a Strategy Analyst to support Rocketdyne’s strategic planning and growth initiatives through competitive intelligence, market analysis, and data-driven insights. This individual will develop a detailed understanding of Rocketdyne’s markets, customers, competitors, technologies, and industry trends and translate that information into actionable recommendations for company leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, or Graduate Degree with 2 years prior experience.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical or data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis across Rocketdyne’s space, defense, propulsion, power, and adjacent markets.
• Develop and maintain market models, forecasts, and databases to assess market size, growth rates, customer demand, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities.
• Track competitors, including product portfolios, technologies, customers, contract awards, partnerships, acquisitions, investments, and strategic direction.
• Analyze government budgets, acquisition plans, program documents, contract awards, and other public and proprietary sources to identify market trends and opportunities.
• Develop competitor profiles and assessments to support strategic planning, business development, and investment decisions.
• Identify emerging technologies, market disruptions, customer trends, and potential threats or opportunities to Rocketdyne’s businesses.
• Support annual strategic planning, portfolio reviews, growth initiatives, and long-range planning.
• Develop executive-level presentations and analyses that clearly communicate findings, implications, and recommendations.
• Partner with Business Development, Government Relations, Finance, Engineering, and business leadership to develop market and competitive insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, market databases, and other tools that provide leadership with timely visibility into key market and competitive developments.
• Support strategic assessments of potential new markets, products, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
