Job summary

Ryan Specialty is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives across the organization. You will ensure milestones meet scope, budget, and timelines while guiding cross-functional teams and maintaining stakeholder communications.

This role emphasizes risk management, process improvements, and change management, with a focus on scalable solutions and collaboration with PMO leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s may be preferred.
• 3+ years in Excess & Surplus or Property & Casualty insurance.
• 6+ years in project management on cross-functional programs.
• Ability to manage multiple organization-wide projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise on project management disciplines.
• Meets with PMO leadership and stakeholders to define vision, scope and ROI; establishes budget.
• Utilizes PM tools and PMP practices; follows Velocity PMO templates.
• Creates business cases and charters to meet PMO standards.
• Identifies and manages resources; cultivates stakeholder trust.
• Ensures contracts meet requirements and approvals.
• Ensures compliance activities and risk reviews are completed.
• Elicits business needs from stakeholders to refine scope and deliverables.
• Develops detailed project plans with milestones and schedules.
• Confirms team capacity aligns with schedule.
• Maintains documentation standards and storage.
• Identifies risks and mitigations; monitors mitigation efforts.
• Tracks expenses and adheres to financial constraints.
• Leads kick-off and status meetings; distributes materials and notes.
• Provides regular written updates on progress, issues, and risks.
• Aligns cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Uses facilitation skills for brainstorming and problem solving.
• Resolves risks timely; escalates when appropriate.
• Fosters feedback loops and retrospectives; enables continuous improvement.
• Closes projects with final report and lessons learned; hand-off to Product Owner.
