Job summary

Aspire General Insurance Company is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to influence strategy and drive regulatory excellence within a growing insurance organization. You will partner with executive leadership across Compliance, Product, Claims, Actuarial, and Governance to guide key business decisions and manage enterprise risk.

You'll advise on insurance regulatory matters, privacy, and corporate governance while drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (California is a MUST).
• 5–10 years of legal experience in Insurance Law, Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Governance, Corporate Transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise business leaders on insurance regulatory and corporate legal matters.
• Provide guidance on privacy, AI governance, corporate compliance, and emerging regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with Product, Claims, Compliance, and Actuarial teams to support compliant insurance offerings.
• Support corporate governance initiatives, board reporting, and policy development.
• Manage regulatory inquiries, examinations, and market conduct matters.
