Job summary

Verisk Analytics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a consulting team and guide client projects on the SuranceBay platform.

This remote role requires leading design sessions, translating business needs into system features, and collaborating across teams to improve processes and outcomes. You will apply expertise in life insurance domains, requirements management, agile practices, and data analysis to deliver value while supporting clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field (master's degree or certifications are a plus).
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in business analysis or consulting and working as part of agile teams driving technology improvements and implementations.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, such as SQL, Excel, JIRA, Confluence, and business intelligence applications (experience with SureLC is a strong preference).

Responsibilities

• Project engagement: May oversee, direct or participate on concurrent project assignments, ensuring they meet company goals and industry standards.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with business, development, QA, and operations teams to collect requirements, offer recommendations, and align project objectives.
• Market Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of the life insurance and annuity markets in the areas of distribution management and compliance to recommend best practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a lead contact between stakeholders and project teams. Ensure transparency, manage expectations, and support decision-making with clear information.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
