Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Risk Analyst to join its fully remote insurance team. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the portfolio, delivering insights that influence strategic decision-making and help ensure long-term stability and profitability.

The role requires 3+ years in risk analysis, strong data skills (Excel, SQL, Python), and the ability to communicate clearly in reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in risk analysis, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, R, Python).
• Excellent understanding of risk management principles and insurance operations.
• Proficiency in creating clear and concise reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk assessment frameworks and methodologies for insurance products and operations.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement in risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor the effectiveness of existing risk controls and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance teams to embed risk management best practices.
• Stay informed about emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in risk analysis.
