Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a motivated Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives for the Stravitz-Sanyal Liver Institute. This role oversees multiple strategic projects from inception to completion, collaborating with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure alignment with business objectives and constraints.

The ideal candidate will have a business or management background, 3+ years in project management, and strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably strategic initiatives or research-based roles.
• PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize strategic initiatives with senior leadership.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable plans aligned with objectives.
• Manage research projects, methodologies, timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor and university regulations.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external partners to drive outcomes.
• Oversee day-to-day project management, monitoring progress, risks, and changes.
• Maintain regular stakeholder communications and comprehensive project documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lessons learned.
