Job summary

Delta Dental of Massachusetts is seeking a Director, Strategic Initiatives to lead the organization’s strategic planning and execution of enterprise-wide initiatives in Boston. You will partner with executive leadership to translate strategy into actionable plans, dashboards, and measurable outcomes.

The role manages a team of Project Managers and oversees transformational initiatives and steady-state programs, requiring strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and cross-functional influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating strategic planning and organizational prioritization processes.
• Strong business and financial acumen with experience developing business cases and investment analyses.
• Expertise in project, program, and portfolio management methodologies.
• Outstanding communication and executive presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and multi-year strategic planning with executive leadership.
• Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop executive-level strategic plans, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Oversee portfolio of enterprise initiatives and governance structures.
• Manage and develop a team of Project Managers for enterprise initiatives.
• Drive accountability for initiative execution and benefits realization.
