Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is hiring an Indirect Procurement Buyer in Marysville, OH for a hybrid work setup. You will support procurement activities across MRO, office supplies, PPE, facilities management, landscaping and utilities, focusing on cost savings and supplier collaboration.

The role requires 2–3 years in procurement, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a BS/BA in a related field. Expect exposure to RFQ processes, contract management, and spend optimization.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field.
• 2–3 years' relevant procurement experience.
• Negotiation skills.
• Analytical thought process.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and GSuite a plus).

Responsibilities

• Sourcing projects including market analysis, RFQ, negotiations, contract initiation and management.
• Develop strong relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives aligned with company goals.
• Identify and pursue new savings or value-add opportunities.
• Assist in contract renewals and increase Spend Under Management (SUM).
• Participate in internal demand management and collaborate with suppliers for value and improvement.
• Support total cost of ownership analyses for procured goods/services.
• Move autonomously with a bias toward action and ensure timely PO creation and reconciliation.
• Manage catalog vendors and Ariba catalog assortment.
• Travel as needed (limited).
