Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Procurement Manager, Packaging to lead strategic sourcing for flexible packaging across North America and Canada. You will drive supplier development, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Quality to enable innovative products for the SMG Brands.

The role requires 4+ years in procurement, SAP skills, and a Bachelor’s in a relevant field; Master’s is a plus. Domestic and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in Procurement, Sourcing or Purchasing.
• Experience coordinating material requirements across multiple plants and suppliers.
• Experience navigating a regulated industry with supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement procurement strategies for flexible packaging materials.
• Manage relationships with manufacturing facilities and suppliers.
• Develop cost-saving projects and provide financial forecasting.
• Negotiate and execute contracts per company policies.
• Ensure compliance with processes and implement disruption mitigation.
• Lead supplier selection and development with cross-functional teams.
