Job summary

PHIBRO ANIMAL HEALTH CORP is seeking a Global/Category Manager for indirect procurement based in Teaneck, NJ with remote options. You will lead sourcing strategies across R&D, MRO, Facilities, Corporate & Professional services, IT, HR, Marketing, and other indirect categories to drive cost savings and supplier performance.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business goals, manage supplier relationships, and ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of procurement/category management/strategic sourcing experience in indirect spend.
• Proven cost savings & value optimization in indirect categories.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with complex supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence capabilities.
• Analytical skills with financial and market analysis proficiency.
• Proficient with ERP systems and procurement tools (JD Edwards, GEP)
• Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or PMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories.
• Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and service.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation.
• Lead negotiations for indirect categories with favorable terms.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to guide sourcing decisions.
• Partner with R&D, IT, Marketing, HR, and Finance to align procurement with business needs.
• Identify and mitigate supplier performance and compliance risks; develop contingency plans.
• Continuously evaluate processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure policy compliance.
• Track KPIs related to cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement effectiveness.
