Job summary

Edelman Financial Engines seeks an Indirect Procurement Director to shape enterprise-wide sourcing across Procure-to-Pay, partnering with executives to drive value and governance. The role demands expert negotiation, analytics, and cross-functional leadership in HR, IT, and Finance.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Procurement, you will lead RFPs, manage supplier relations, and ensure strong contract terms while mitigating risk and driving savings.

Qualifications

• Innovative and technically proficient in P2P systems (i.e. Oracle NetSuite).
• 10+ years’ Procurement experience in Indirect Sourcing.
• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree; Procurement certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Excellent Communicator – presents ideas and recommendations to senior management.
• Leads contract redlining and commercial negotiations with Legal and vendor counsel.
• Structures contracts with measurable fee models to drive cost containment.
• Delivers spend analytics and executive-ready insights on savings and value realization.
• Leads indirect procurement sourcing including RFPs, negotiations, and final contracts.
• Collaborates with Accounts Payable to ensure PO and invoice alignment.
