Job summary

Motion is seeking an Inbound Operations Manager to lead inbound logistics at our Anchorage distribution center. You will guide inbound freight scheduling, receiving, stocking, and safety programs, aligning with DC leadership to drive efficiency and compliance.

As a hands-on leader, you will train and develop teams, monitor productivity, and partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly. A focus on cost control and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• 1+ year managerial experience leading teams.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics software (WMS, ERP).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
• Lean six sigma and project management skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with General Manager to implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Manages inbound operations by setting performance expectations and monitoring productivity.
• Leads inbound operations, organizing inbound freight, receiving dock, stocking, housekeeping, and safety protocols.
• Promotes safety rules and maintains a compliant environment for employees.
• Trains and develops employees to maintain high efficiency and handle issues.
• Resolves supplier, partner, and customer inquiries and escalations as needed.
• Works cross-functionally to investigate receiving errors and drive improvements.
• Monitors budget and cost-saving initiatives while pursuing process improvements.
