Job summary

Wabtec seeks an Associate Counsel to serve as a trusted legal advisor and business partner across commercial, corporate, compliance, and governance matters. You will draft and negotiate agreements, support procurement, assist with corporate governance, and manage legal risks in a global environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross‑functional teams, data governance, and the use of legal tech tools to optimize processes and ensure regulatory compliance. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in‑house corporate experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements.
• Serve as a strategic legal advisor and business partner to the Global Sourcing organization, providing practical guidance to support procurement objectives while effectively managing legal risk.
• Act as the escalation point for non‑disclosure agreement reviews.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal support to business teams.
• Assist stakeholders in interpreting contractual obligations and resolving disputes and claims.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist with global initiatives on contract lifecycle management system implementations and ongoing CLM management.
• Support corporate governance activities and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Assist with transaction documentation, closings, and post‑closing integration activities.
• Support investigations, audits, and compliance reviews as needed.
• Contribute to the development of legal policies and procedures.
