Job summary

Sport Group Americas seeks a skilled legal counsel to partner with business teams across AstroTurf, SYNLawn, Laykold, and Rekortan. The role focuses on negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding governance and risk management across multiple brands.

The position requires JD, active bar admission, and 3+ years of experience in corporate or firm settings, with strong drafting and negotiation skills. Location includes Atlanta to Chattanooga corridor with salary-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years as licensed attorney in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts for development, manufacture, distribution and performance in a relevant industry.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and industry requirements.
• Assist with corporate governance activities including board resolutions and policies.
• Collaborate with international legal team on innovative projects.
• Handle employee relations and labor law issues.
• Manage litigation and coordinate external counsel.
• Provide proactive legal guidance to business leaders and assess risks.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on applicable laws.
• Develop and maintain templates and implement legal strategies.
