Wolf Line Construction seeks an experienced In-House Counsel based in Charleston, SC to partner with ownership and executives on corporate, employment, contracts, insurance, and risk management matters.

You will work directly with leadership across affiliated companies, advising on multi-state employment, project risk, and regulatory compliance while supporting day-to-day operations and growth. This on-site role demands practical, business-minded legal advice.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
• 5+ years of legal experience, ideally in corporate, construction, infrastructure, or commercial matters.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating contracts, risk assessment, and advising business leaders.
• Familiarity with employment, insurance, and regulatory matters is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; translate legal issues into practical business advice.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic legal guidance across corporate, operational, compliance, and risk-management matters.
• Prepare and maintain corporate approvals and governance documents; advise ownership on legal issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, project, subcontract, vendor, NDA, leases, and other agreements.
• Review bids and contracts; identify risks related to indemnity, insurance, payments, liquidated damages, delays, and dispute terms.
• Advise HR on multi-state employment matters, policies, leave and wage-hour issues, and terminations.
• Support corporate governance, entity matters, and business transactions across affiliated companies.
• Coordinate with brokers and leadership on insurance coverage and claims; manage legal risk with outside counsel.
• Advise on regulatory requirements applicable to operations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide guidance on disputes and manage outside counsel when needed.
• Serve as an accessible legal resource for leadership and employees.
