Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Health & Safety Manager in Elkhart, IN to establish, implement, and continuously improve site-wide EHS programs. The role requires broad knowledge of H&S compliance and specialty areas across industrial safety, occupational hygiene, and process safety within a manufacturing setting.

The 4-month, full-time position focuses on strategic and tactical EHS system management, audits, risk reviews, and daily floor presence, with a competitive base salary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related degree preferred.
• 5 years relevant experience in H&S within a manufacturing environment.
• Professional safety certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state OSHA regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Hazardous waste management: Disposal coordination.
• Compliance audits.
• Manifest tracking.
• Permit compliance calendar management.
• Audiometric exam support (December).
• PPE administration: Safety shoe program.
• Safety glasses.
• Equipment requests.
• Process Safety Management (PSM) safety and compliance oversight preferred.
• Daily Risk & Operations Review.
