Qualifications

• Advising/supporting management on a wide range of HR disciplines including workforce planning, talent acquisition, compensation, organizational diagnosis, and compliance.
• Managing and resolving complex employee/labor relations matters, such as grievances and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Supports departments with employee relations and engagement, strategic workforce planning, policy setting, training and development, succession planning, mentoring/coaching, and onboarding.
• Conducts regular meetings with assigned County departments; provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Consults with line management providing HR guidance and day-to-day performance management support.
• Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies; identifies training needs.
• Works with management to improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues; conducts investigations.
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees; partners with legal as needed.
